Welcome to our newest Board member

Theresa Ganshert was selected by the Yahara River Grocery Cooperative board of directors to finish out the term of former board member Deb Bicksler, who unfortunately left the board earlier this year. We wish Deb and her business partner Spencer Warren all the best with their new store, the Read Book Shoppe at 123 E. Main Street in Stoughton.

Theresa works as a professional designer and is an adjunct art professor at UW-Whitewater. She moved to Stoughton in 1980 and was a founding member of Willy Street Co-op (at that time only a room in an old house on Williamson Street) and joined the YRGC at its founding. She will be the first to admit "I love my Co-op!"

YRGC will hold elections for new board members at the Annual Meeting in January. We welcome anyone who is interested in becoming a board member to get in contact with us. Three new board members will be selected at the meeting and we could use your talents! We hope to see you on the ballot!

YRGC Board meets bi-monthly

Our Board of Directors is an empowered body that holds ultimate corporate accountability. They are the elected representatives of the membership and serve as the visionary leader of our organization.

The YRGC board meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month unless otherwise posted. Meetings begin at 5 p.m. on the second Thursday and 6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday and are usually in the basement of City Hall, 381 East Main Street, in Stoughton. Co-op members are welcome to attend.

2011 Yahara River Grocery Cooperative Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of nine members, all duly elected by the membership. The Board elects four officers who serve one-year terms: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The 2011 Board of Directors was elected at the Jan. 20 Annual Membership Meeting. The Board elected officers at it first regular business meeting Jan. 26, 2011.
