Two new Board of Directors elected

At the Annual Membership Meeting, the Yahara River Grocery Cooperative members elected Ted Izydor and Lori Wirth to the Board of Directors. Read their bios below to learn more about your new board members.


IzydorTed Izydor

Ted Izydor has enjoyed a 15-year career as a mental health and substance abuse therapist in Madison. He has been an active volunteer with Hospice over the past 4 years. He currently works for Hewlett Packard as a mental health consultant and has a private practice business in Madison.

Ted earned a BA in Psychology from UW-Milwaukee and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University. He is currently working toward an MBA with a marketing focus at Upper Iowa University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a Licensed Massage Therapist

Ted has specialized in program development and outcome throughout his counseling career and has spent several years as a supervisor in substance abuse.  Career highlights include developing the Alternatives to Aggression program at Family Service, leading a school-based training program to decrease aggression in schools, serving on the Dane County Task Force against Domestic Violence, leading an MBA project team in developing and executing a television and radio marketing campaign for Project Porchlight, and volunteering at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Kenya, Africa.  While in Kenya Ted developed a community-based massage therapy program.

Ted also is a musician and triathlete and recently completed his first Ironman in September 2011. Ted has lived with his wife and 3 children in Stoughtonover the past 6 years. 


WirthLori Wirth

Lori Wirth has dedicated her entire career to education and communication. Currently, she is the Community Education/Public Information Officer for the City of Madison Fire Department. She has been with the City of Madison Fire Department for 7 years, and has spent more than 10 years working in print and broadcast media, covering everything from light features to Presidential campaigns.

Before joining the City of Madison Fire Department, Lori worked in adult education, presenting on topics of both professional development and personal enrichment. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Lori has lived in Stoughton for 5 years and is pleased to be known as "the other 99" at the Co-op.
